Summary of subject content:

GCSE Drama is a course for everyone. Whether you have an interest in the performing arts or whether you just want to develop your confidence for the future this exciting course could be for you. The course itself is very practical and through the experiences you will undoubtedly have you will become a confident creator and performer of drama. However, more than that you will learn; teamwork, face to face communication skills, creative problem solving, time management skills and confidence. These things would be on the wish list of any future employer and the drama department at North Kesteven School excels in the delivery of the course. The course can also be tailored to fit your preferences, offering a production arts route, including set, lighting, sound and make up design. So, if you are artistic or technically minded this course offers an opportunity to hone those skills within the context of the performing arts world. Without realising it, people 'act' every day of their lives and often it can take you places you never dreamed of. This course would undoubtedly give you an edge in a changing world, ensuring that at the very least you could look someone in the eyes and give them a firm hand shake!
