September 2016

It is with great pride that I take up my position as Acting Headteacher from 1st September and I am eager to welcome our students through the doors on Monday 5th September. Having been teaching our students and part of the school community for 8 years, to be leading it at this interesting time in education feels like a real privilege. Our staff work tirelessly to teach and support all of our students to achieve their potential academically and also to be well rounded and responsible adults within the community. This was reflected in our recent A Level and GCSE exam results, with the students successfully opening doors to give them access to their future aspirations.

We have introduced an improved system for tutoring, with the vast majority of students having two tutors. This will greatly enhance the support and academic monitoring and mentoring that we are able to provide individuals to enable them to break down any barriers and aspire to be and achieve their best.

I am looking forward to further developing the positive relationships we already have established with parents and the community around us by welcoming you into our school for the variety of information and entertainment events throughout the year.
